Listen: Lady Gaga Premieres "Born This Way" Single! Gay Pride Season Officially Kicked Off! Plus, Fan-Made Art Galore!

“Born This Way” kinda sounds like Gaga’s hair. It’s “blown that way!!!!” But GAAAAYYYER!

“It doesn’t matter if you love him or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
’Cause you were Born This Way, Baby…”

It’s here! Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” made its drag debut on radio and websites all over the place at 6am ET this morning, and already it’s playing in about 6,739 spin classes (at that’s just in the NYC metro area) and in the high-heeled halls of RuPaul’s Drag U.

Basically, it’s a thumpy Pride parade up in your earbuds. And I can’t complain.. This winter needed to be served a big bowl of sparkly, hot, steamy, queeny, dancey, aural oatmeal.

The feel of “Born this Way” is big and beat-driven, and sounds like a million mirrors smashed in a diva’s drag closet and then shot out the window from a sequined cannon. As many have noted, the song has notes of Madonna’s “Express Yourself” — but I’m also tasting some leathery accents, a bit of “Born to Be Alive” (the ancient club classic from Patrick Hernandez), with a bassline reminiscent of (of all things) Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold.”

Hear “Born This Way” at EW.com, or on a loop at LadyGaga.com; and go get it via iTunes.

“Don’t be a drag, just be a queen…” Gaga commands us repeatedly in the song, but let’s face it: She’s preaching to the choir! Anybody awake and already commenting on the song is already batting for our team. And yes, Gaga very vocally, blatantly calls out her homo-tastic monsters in a laundry list of diversity tags… (Get the full analysis of the LGBT-cheerleading “Born This Way” lyrics, why don’t ya.)

Actually, “BTW” could also be summed up in a catchphrase by another festively costumed drag/queer icon: “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love anybody else?” Consider this tune Gaga’s resounding “AMEN!”

So, yay! Gay proms all over have their 2011 theme song.

Yay & GAY!!! Get into the “Born This Way” fanmade cover art! Thanks DC Covers for this one. Vagenius!!!

For some reason, I can’t get the “Paws up!” line out of my mind. So random, and yet SOOOOO ADOOOOOOORRRRABLE, RIGHT???

“I throw my paws up in the air sometimes, saying GaaaaaGaaaaa…”
