“Missing U” is Robyn’s first new music as a solo artist since Body Talk in 2010. The track was recorded and written in Paris and Stockholm and has the singer teaming up Joseph Mount and long-time collaborator Klas Åhlund to write and produce the track.
“’Missing U’ is a song about this trippy thing that happens when people disappear,” the “Call Your Girlfriend” singer said in a statement. “It’s like they become even more clear and you see them everywhere.”
On Monday (July 30), Robyn released an accompanying short film serving as a love letter to a specific part of her fan base—the group that hosts a recurring dance party in her honor at Brooklyn Bowl. The video documents the singer processing her level of influence while shocking her fans by crashing the party back in May.
