Listen: The Internet Drops New Single "Come Over"

The band’s new album "Hive Mind" is out July 20.

Gearing up for the release of their upcoming album Hive Mind, R&B group The Internet has released a new track from the LP, "Come Over."

Speaking with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio on Wednesday, the group described the song as "something you can easily two-step to."

"We were going to festivals the last year and we were listening to tempos...we kind of felt like our last albums were a little too groovy," said band member Matt Martians. "When I started making the drums, I wanted to make something...you can easily get into. [Then] Syd started writing a song about a very true story."

Syd, the band's openly gay female singer, said the lyrics are universal, but are "based on real-life events with real girls."

Here’s a sample of some of the lyrics from the track:

Say I won't

Worth a try

Puppy love

Butterflies

Made you blush

You made me smile

What you want

Baby, you decide

"Come Over" follows the previously released track "Roll (Burbank Funk)."

Hive Mind, out July 20, follows the band's Grammy-nominated 2015 record Ego Death.
