A pair of blackbirds have been routinely attacking the patrons of a Denver, Colorado Chick-fil-A as they've made their way from the restaurant to the parking lot.

The attacks have been described as "dive bombs" (we shit you not), and specialists have confirmed that the culprits are, in fact, blackbirds who are nesting–their aggression can only be explained as a mom and dad protecting their youngins'.

"Maybe he's just mad we're eating chicken," one Chick-fil-A manager told Denver’s 9NEWS.

These attacks have apparently caused so much panic that the branch established an escort system (an escort system!), with employees herding customers safely from the restaurant to their cars, using a large, red umbrella as a shield.

Since Chick-fil-A has been so woefully homophobic in the past, we can't help but chuckle A LITTLE at the karmic justice.

Alas, we're sure bird dive bombs are a terrifying experience.
