Little Mix's Jade Serves Epic Comeback To Fan Who Insulted RuPaul
Jade Thirlwall, a member of the mega-popular British girl group Little Mix, is a RuPaul superfan. So things got a little heated when someone came for the mother of all drag queens on Thirlwall's Instagram account.
It all started on Wednesday when Thirlwall posted a glamorous picture of RuPaul on her Instagram for "Woman Crush Wednesday." On the post she added the simple comment "Goals" and "#ButchQueen," the name of Ru's latest album.
There was a flurry of comments on the post saying things like "YAAS" and "Beauty Queen," but one fan was NOT having it.
Instagram user ixdemz commented “I don’t [know whether] it’s a boy or a girl but Jade how can you support these kind of things? That’s stupid. Not normal at all.”
Usually hateful trolls like that would just be deleted or blocked, but passive actions are not enough when you are insulting RuPaul, Supermodel of the World.
Thirlwall replied to ixdemz in the comments and went IN on the fan. “If you don’t ‘support’ these kind of ‘things’ (assuming you mean drag queens or the gay community) then I suggest you go and comment on somebody else’s Instagram,” wrote Thirlwall. “Someone just as homophobic, ignorant and as warped as yourself.”
Then the "Black Magic" singer delivered an epic final comeback by quoting the queen herself: "SASHAY. AWAY."
This is far from the first time Little Mix members have shown their love for RuPaul. Last year they performed a medley of her hit songs like "Sissy That Walk" at London's G-A-Y club, and Thirlwall has even shared pics of her massive collection of Drag Race memorabilia on her Instagram.
“I am obsessed with RuPaul’s Drag Race and have watched it all on Netflix. I love gay culture," Thirlwall told Attitude last year. "I’ll be at Heaven every Saturday or I’ll go and see Porn Idol at G-A-Y! I can’t get enough of it. I want to be RuPaul."
Don't we all?
RuPaul's Drag Race airs Mondays at 9/8c on Logo.
