Legend and icon Liza Minnelli was introduced to a new group of fans when she first guest starred on Arrested Development back in 2003. Her character, Lucille Austero, or "Lucille Two," who suffers from vertigo, became a fan favorite and she appeared in multiple episodes, including the fourth season when the series moved to Netflix.

At the end of the last season it was revealed that Lucille Two had been murdered and Buster Bluthe (Tony Hale) was arrested for her murder.

One of the stars of the Emmy Award-winning series, Jason Bateman, talked about the upcoming fifth season and how the death of Liza Minnelli's character will be integral to the plot:

“The central spine of that story is the death of Liza Minnelli’s character, and a bit of whodunit, who may have done it, who had something to do with it,” Jason Bateman revealed on EW Radio. “That’s sort of a central thread around which [creator Mitch Hurwitz] is going to braid in all the colorful plot complications that he knows how to do.”

Minnelli's character might be dead but hopefully the legendary actress will be able to reprise her role in flashbacks or dream sequences in the new season that is set to premiere in 2018.
