Lizzo, Actual Goddess, Dubs Her Superfans “Lizzbians”

Now that's what we call allyship.

Sorry—did you just me a “Lizzo fan”? Hell no, honey. We’re called Lizzbians.

In case you missed it, the “Juice” singer and body-positive icon has an official suggestion for a nickname for her fans: Lizzbians, a riff on her stage name and, of course, lesbians.

Gay Twitter™️ obviously had a field day with this Lizzo-approved message:

Lizzo herself does not identify as a member of the LGBTQ community, but her massive queer following speaks for itself. She’s appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, too, which totally seals the deal. The singer also has a long track record of standing up for the queer community, so the moniker Lizzbians certainly doesn’t come out of nowhere.

Since her album ’Cuz I Love You dropped in April, Lizzo has wracked up an impressive amount of streams, including her hit single “Truth Hurts,” which currently ranks fifth on the Spotify United States Top 50 charts.
