Charli XCX Turning Her Back On Uganda Because Of Anti-Gay Laws: WATCH
Rising pop star Charli XCX dropped by the Logo studios this week to talk music and heritage.
The "Boom Clap" singer , whose mother was raised in Uganda, said she wants to distance herself from that connection as much as possible, given the country's vehement anti-gay laws: "I feel so sad that I am related to that country in some way, because of what the government has decided there. We visited when I was a lot younger [but] I wouldn't return."
