Last Sunday, Drama Club went to the 20th annual Broadway Bares, an annual night of charitable stripping and nakedness to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year, the Broadway chorus boys and celebrity guests were dancing as fast as they can. At the end of the night, they had surpassed their fundraising goal and donated a total of $1,015,985 to the charity! Now THAT is what I call making it rain.
The theme for Broadway Bares XX was “Strip-opoly.” Each racy number in the show was inspired by a place on the Monopoly Board. We went backstage during the show to test some of the performer’s stripper knowledge, and got some behind the scenes dish on the costumes and make-up featured in the extravagant show.
