Ira Madison III, Shakina Nayfack Spill All the Tea on Logo Live Premiere

Logo's twice-weekly Instagram Live show kicked off this Tuesday.

Ira Madison III is just like you: He loves watching white people be messy on TV.

The out writer, podcaster, and ex-Twitter user joined host Johnny Sibilly for the first episode of Logo Live, Logo's twice-weekly Instagram Live series tackling all things LGBTQ, from pop culture to politics and everything in between. For Tuesday's episode, Madison had a spirited convo (literally — he was drinking whiskey!) with Sibilly about a wide range of topics, including Elliot Page coming out as trans, Happiest Season dividing lesbian Twitter, and HBO wrapping its popular murder mystery series The Undoing.

"You know, I love white mess," Madison said of series, which stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant as... well, messy rich white people. "And that is what I'd describe The Undoing as. I love rich white people getting into legal trouble. And that is the perfect show for it. It's just like Big Little Lies."

Sibilly also caught up with Connecting star and transgender activist Shakina Nayfack, who gave him a powerful lesson on radical forgiveness. She also offered up her thoughts on Harry Potter author and noted TERF J.K. Rowling. Spoiler alert: It's not trans people's responsibility hold Rowling accountable for perpetuating transphobic rhetoric. "Let cis people deal with [her]," Nayfack said. "I don't have time."

New episodes of Logo Live premiere every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm EST on Logo's Instagram.
