Meet the Logo30: Tarik Carroll

The Brooklyn-based photographer is highlighting queer men of all sizes.

Every day during the month of June, we will be spotlighting our 2018 Logo30. The powerful series profiles ordinary and extraordinary people who show pride in unique and provocative ways. Visit the Logo30 homepage to learn more about the series.

Tarik Carroll is a Brooklyn-based photographer, body-positivity activist, and founder of the EveryMAN project, a photography series highlighting queer men of all sizes—not just the ones with six-pack abs that flood your Instagram and social media feeds.

"I started the EveryMAN project because I wanted to create a place of inclusivity. I wanted to create a project that showcased body diversity in the fashion industry," Carroll tells NewNowNext. "Challenging industry ideals that aren't necessarily realistic, and tackling toxic masculinity."

"Body positivity is very important in the queer community for everyone to feel good in their own skin. We already deal with enough discrimination so why beat each other up?"
