Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes have released “Long Time,” a joyous track the pair cowrote for Harry’s upcoming LP, Pollinator.
The upbeat song perfectly captures the group’s aesthetic of disco beats and punk attitude, all encased in an ambiance of synths, guitars, and crashing cymbals.
Along with Hynes, the group’s 11th record will feature collaborations with Sia, Laurie Anderson, Charli XCX, Joan Jett, Tv on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, and the Strokes’ Nick Valensi. “Long Time” is the second track shared off the album following the single “No Fun.”
Blondie will set off on a North American tour with Garbage following the May 5 release of Pollinator.
