"Looking" and "Downton Abbey" Stars Bare All In New Play, "The Pass": PHOTOS

Looking

While some of us eagerly await the premiere of HBO's not-millennial-oriented-but-similarly-solipsistic show Looking this weekend, the stars of the new series have been keeping busy.  Russell Tovey, for example, is currently starring in a play called The Pass, about a gay celebrity footballer. He's joined by Gary Carr, who appears in the new season of Downton Abbey.  And it looks like the two have been getting along swimmingly.

The Pass, currently playing at London's Royal Court Theatre, deals with homophobia in the athletic community.  Tovey, who is openly gay IRL, talked to the Evening Standard about his understanding of anti-gay sentiments in the sporting world:

It’s easier for Tom Daley because he’s a solo diver. What if you’re part of the rugby club on tour — touching each other’s dicks, they do very homoerotic acts, all fine because they’re straight — then they suddenly find out someone is gay? It becomes ‘Hang on a bit, we shouldn’t be doing this, you might be enjoying it’.
