Bar Code, a new lounge opening in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, is very keen on you knowing that it's not a gay bar. So keen in fact, that the owners posted a message on the club's Facebook page declaring as much.

"Barcode Downtown is not a gay bar," a post from November 22 read, "nor is it associated with the gay community. It a straight bar that mostly [sic] hip hop."

Apparently Bar Code isn't down with verbs either.

It turns out the owners cribbed Bar Code's name and rainbow logo from another venue of the same name, a well-know gay club in Richmond Virginia.  And God forbid any homosexuals get the wrong idea and try to be paying customers at this most definitely not gay establishment.
