VH1 And Logo Explore What It's Like To Be "Out In Hip Hop"

A roundtable discussion with DMC, Big Freedia, Cakes da Killa and cast members from "Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood"

On Monday's episode of VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood a cast member comes out as gay to his girlfriend.

On the show, Miles (a.k.a. Sir Brock) dated Amber before seeing model-actor-singer Milan Christopher. On tonight's episode, he's bringing Amber to a therapy session and plans on coming clean—and coming out—to her.

“I know telling Amber the truth about my sexuality is the right thing to do,” Miles explains. “I just hope she doesn’t hate me.”

We're curious how it will play out: Coming out is still a struggle for many, and can sometimes lead to heartbreak. Hopefully it won't be too uncomfortable.

The storyline has inspired Love & Hip Hop: Out in Hip Hop, a one-hour discussion following LHH that looks at what it means to be LGBT and in the hip-hop music scene.

ABC News’ T.J. Holmes moderates a roundtable discussion with "Queen of Bounce" Big Freedia, comedian Buttahman, Cakes Da Killa and Fly Young Red, as well as LGBT activists, religious leaders and hip-hop icon DMC. Milan and Miles will also be there, along with fellow LHH cast members Ray J and Fizz.

Love & Hip Hop: Out in Hip Hop debuts on Monday at 11pm on VH1 and Logo, immediately following the latest episode of LHH.
