Loved Love, Simon? Well, do we have some news for you.

This Is Us screenwriters Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker, who worked on the screenplay for the film, are said to be involved in the new TV series.

However, out director-producer Greg Berlanti, who brought the story to the big screen, is reportedly barred from working on a Love, Simon TV adaptation due to an exclusive overall deal he signed with Warner Bros. Television.

Last year, the feel-good romantic comedy—based on a YA novel by author Becky Albertalli—made Hollywood history, becoming the first major studio film to star a gay teen protagonist. It performed well at the box office, too, grossing some $66.3 million worldwide, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Love, Simon also took home a top honor at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, scoring the cast and crew an award for Outstanding Film – Wide Release.

There's no release date set for the Love, Simon TV show, although E! News reports that it will star an all-new cast.

Disney+ is slated to launch in the United States on November 12, 2019.
