Flawless 101: Get some subtle, sophisticated makeup tips from the Drag Racers!
Ok, as much as I aspire to be a drag queen I don’t know a damn thing about makeup. But I know that hot women wear M•A•C (Dame Edna! RuPaul! Xtina! Hello Kitty!) and get really excited about it. Hot women also share their secrets on how to apply said makeup, so here are some dishy makeup tips from the beat broads of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Some of these divas aren’t with us anymore (they’re not dead, they’re just not on the show, children!), but their legacy of fierce foundations and luscious lined lips lives on!!!
Wanna look your best when you head out of the house, painted up like a high-class ‘ho? Read on!
“I’m a gal of color and some shades don’t show up well on our skin. If you apply concealer on your eyelids before you put shadow or pigment on, the color will really pop! I also use concealer in the center of my lips after I put on lipcolour to give it greater dimension, instead of one flat color. As for colors – some of my faves are M•A•C Eye Shadow in Goldmine and Dreammaker and Lip Pencil in Chestnut – a must have!”
Flat lips? I don’t think so… Pop it!
Akashia channels some classic Whitney glam, perhaps?
“My M•A•C favorite is Eye Shadow in Carbon. This little black eye shadow lets you shape the eye and create different effects. To make an eye look more deep-set use M•A•C Brush 228 and apply from the outside corner of the eye to the brow bone. Start with just a little color and increase as you go so you can control the intensity.”
Nina goes for intensity.
And she succeeds.
“For killer lips that will last all through a rockin’ night at the club, first line your lips with M•A•C Lip Pencil in Redd and then fill in with Russian Red Lipstick. For an extra bit of shine that will make heads turn, apply just a hint of Lustreglass in Venetian on top. It will put the disco balls to shame and add hot loving to your game.”
Tammie gets her eyebrows on. Or… off?
Work! Miss Brown is ready!
“I use M•A•C PRO Shaping Powder in Emphasize under my eyes and in my t-zones. It brightens your face and gives the perfect glow.”
Ongina applies herself.
“M•A•C Studio Fix is my all around everything. It can give you great coverage for a quick base or you can use it to highlight and contour. And don’t forget your eyebrows! Make sure they’re arched to perfection – a bushy brow does not a pretty woman make!
Victoria serves it.
And for one final glam moment, here’s Ongina’s M•A•C Viva Glam spot from last week’s episode.
