Madonna Sings "La Vie En Rose" At Sean Penn's Haiti Benefit

"I loved you, from the moment I laid eyes on you and I still love you just the same," she told her former flame.

Madonna took a stroll down memory lane on Sunday, when she reunited with ex-husband Sean Penn at his Help Haiti Home benefit.

The former flames smiled on the red carpet in Los Angeles with Madonna's children Mercy and David. Inside the Montage Hotel, she performed "La Vie en Rose" in French while strumming the ukulele.

It was a touching moment for the stars, who are both facing personal problems. (Madonna is reportedly battling son Rosco over custody issues, and Penn just posted a controversial interview with Mexican drug kingpin El Chapo.

Before her performance, the Material Girl praised Penn for his work in rebuilding Haiti.

"Tonight is my night off from touring. And I couldn’t think of a better place to be than here, supporting an amazing organization," she said. "I had the privilege of going to Haiti with Sean two years ago with my son Rocco and we had the most amazing adventure."

On a more personal note, Madonna proclaimed her admiration and affection for the Oscar-winning actor-director.

"I am so proud of you, so proud to know you," she declared. So I want to say, Sean, that I loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you and I still love you just the same."
