Madonna's Love Letter to Amanda Cazalet to Go on Auction

"I’m dying to kiss you again. I fantasize about you all the time."

Online auction house GottaHaveRockandRoll.com will host "The Rock and Roll Pop Culture Auction" from July 11-20, a collection of memorabilia from musicians past and present. One of the featured items in this auction is a never-before-seen handwritten love letter from Madonna to another woman, Amanda Cazalet, who appeared alongside the Material Girl in the racy 1990 "Justify My Love" music video (around the 1:58 mark), which MTV banned for being too sexually explicit.

The letter opens:

"Amanda, How are you? Where are you? Why don’t you call me? You can call collect if you like! Getting in touch with you is like trying to seduce the pope!"

Her Madgesty continues:

"I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world. I’m dying to kiss you again. I fantasize about you all the time. I know you’re married & pregnant and I cannot explain my attraction—nevertheless it’s there. I’m attracted to very few women in this way. I wish I could see you."

This letter, as well as some other personal items from Madonna, almost didn't make it to the auction block. Madonna had filed a lawsuit against GottaHaveRockandRoll.com to bar the auction of her personal items, including the note to Cazalet and another to break up with rapper Tupac Shakur. However, in April, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Gerald Lebovits ruled in favor of the auction house.

The starting bid for the missive to Cazalet is $15,000.
