Maggie Smith will not be losing her edge on the new season of Downton Abbey, even with the arrival of Shirley MacLaine. In fact, it seems Ms. MacLaine’s trip to Downton will be bring out the best of the Dowager Countess, and Dame Smith appears to have spent some of her vacation time sharpening her barbs, and they are as unsubtle and saucy as ever.
