With reboots and revivals like Will & Grace, Roseanne and Twin Peaks, it seems like everything old is new again—even animated series from your childhood.
That’s where Netflix’s take on The Magic School Bus Rides Again comes in. It’s been 20 years since the original television series left the air, but now Ms. Frizzle and the kids from Walkerville School are back to teach a new generation of kids all about science.
Lily Tomlin voiced the loony, but lovable, science teacher in the original run, and now Tomlin is back as Ms. Frizzle in the new trailer, but only to briefly hand over the keys—literally—to her sister Fiona Felicity Frizzle, voiced by SNL veteran Kate McKinnon.
McKinnon and Tomlin aren’t the only celebrities to lend their talents to the revival. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda sings the new version of the classic theme song.
We wish our middle school science class was this much fun. The Magic School Bus Rides Again premieres September 22 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
