Man Dodges Bullets To Protect His Louis Vuitton Bag From Robber

"I got my bag. [He] can pry it out of my cold, dead hands."

This fashionista loves his Louis Vuitton bag so much, he narrowly avoided death to save it.

On Monday night, Jerad Kluting of Holland, MI, was walking on the street when a man pulled a gun on him. He demanded Kluting’s Louis Vuitton crossbody bag, but Kluting refused to give it up, even dodging three bullets to protect the designer good. Police have since arrested the suspect, an unnamed 21-year-old with no known criminal history.

“I was like, ‘You’re not getting my Louis Vuitton,'” Kluting, who paid upwards of $1,700 for the bag, told WCMH-TV. “I worked very hard for this and this bag I’ve had forever and it means a lot to me. I wasn’t about ready to relinquish it to some thug that was going to demand it from me.”

The specific bag style is no longer in production, Kluting noted, which adds to its sentimental value: “I got my bag. [He] can pry it out of my cold, dead hands.”

He genuinely believes he could’ve died, too, telling authorities that the third shot the robber fired seemed like it was aimed to kill.

Kluting has absolutely no regrets about how he handled the situation. And to those who think he’s cray-cray, he has only this to say: “As my grandmother would say, if you’re born to hang, you’ll never drown.”
