Man Trolls Bigots With Hilarious Fake Target Facebook Account

And the haters are read for filth.

When Target announced they would be switching over to gender-neutral labels for the children's products in their stores, we knew there would be unnecessary outrage from those who opposed the decision.

But as angry messages flooded the store's Facebook page, one man thankfully came to Target's defense in an epic way.

Mike Melgaard created a fake Facebook account, and replied to the haters while posing as a Target customer service rep.

The results are hilarious, as Melgaard says all the things we'd love to say to the stupidity that was being thrown the retailer's way.

He got away with the prank for about 16 hours before the fake account was shut down.

Melgaard said he was just scrolling through Facebook when he first heard the news of Target's decision to go gender-neutral.

"Immediately, I knew there would be your typical outraged American spouting emotional reactions on their Facebook page," he says. "After taking a look, I was literally laughing out loud at my computer. A few more minutes in and it struck me how hilarious it would be to portray myself as a parody customer service rep. So, I did just that, and the rest was history. Honestly, it was like striking comedy gold. Every one of these people gave me the ammunition I needed for a great response."
