Manny Pacquiao Regrets Making Homophobic Comments, But Stands By Them

The Filipino boxing champion just blew whatever last change he had to apologize.

Homophobic boxer Manny Pacquiao said he regrets comparing gay people to animals, calling the incendiary comments a "mistake" in a new interview with TMZ Sports.

In February, Pacquiao was publicly railed and lost sponsorships from Wonderful Pistachios and Nike after claiming gay people are "worse than animals" in an interview on Philippines TV.

In a series of gaffes afterward, Pacquiao attempted to defend his comments by posting a Bible verse on Instagram that condemns gays to death, announced his early retirement, and failed to respond to out boxer Orlando Cruz, who challenged him to a match.

Though he says he regrets making the comments now, Pacquiao said he's "not changing [his] position."

"I made a mistake," he said. "I'm just human. Nobody's perfect."

Ok bye your career is over.
