Most fashion films are boring and just a plain reproduction of the one that was released before it. Luckily for us, this isn’t the case with L.A.dy Dior, directed by Hedwig honcho John Cameron Mitchell and starring Marion Cotillard. Cotillard plays a very ‘woe is me’ Hollywood starlet named Margaux who yearns for something else .
L.A.dy Dior is anything but unoriginal. Right before Marguax has her breakdown, she’s surrounded by the typical Hollywood crowd who only fuels her fire. As Margaux screams her head off and makes a fool of herself she in turn gives the photographer exactly what he wants.
I mean, I don’t think I’d be screaming my head off if I got to wear Dior and hang by a pool in Hollywood with a gorgeous man. Would you?
