Mark Ronson Confirms He's Working On Lady Gaga's New Album

"Uptown Funk" meets "Bad Romance"?

If you weren't already excited for Lady Gaga's new album, then we have two words for you: Mark Ronson.

Known for crafting mega hits such as "Uptown Funk," the super producer has worked with the likes of current music industry titan Adele, to the late Amy Winehouse.

"I think she's incredibly talented and kind of a muso at heart beyond all of the giant pop hits. I would love to work some more with her. She's an incredible singer/songwriter," the producer told The Evening Standard.

Rumors began circulating that the follow-up to Gaga's Cheek to Cheek last year when Mother Monster herself began posting some pretty cryptic Instagram posts with the hashtag alluding to being in the studio with the hashtag #LG5. One video sounded like Gaga covering "More More More" by Andrea True with the caption "Off to work! ❤️ ?"

The singer then confirmed that a new album would be released this year after winning Best Actress at the Golden Globes last weekend. Ronson is reportedly being joined by RedOne, who worked with Gaga on her past albums, and Giorgio Moroder.

Ever since the disappointing commercial performance of her 2013 album ARTPOP, Gaga's endeavors have been far removed from her pop beginnings. From her jazz collaborations with Tony Bennett, her operatic tribute to The Sound of Music, she seems bent on reinventing herself.

But the news that she's working with RedOne, who produced much of The Fame and The Fame Monster, and the jazz-tipped Ronson sounds like she's looking to dip her toes back into pop music with a twist.

"Bad Romance" meets "Uptown Funk"? It sounds huge.
