More than 300,000 people gathered in Chicago’s Boystown neighborhood over the weekend for the annual Market Days celebration, the biggest outdoor festival in the Midwest.

Held between Addison Street and Belmont Avenue on Halstead, the LGBT-centric gathering included performances from Big Freedia, Brian Justin Crum, Inaya Day, Steve Grand, and ’80s pop princess Tiffany. (Lana Wachowski and a bevy of Drag Race queens were also in town.)
“To host one of the biggest and longest running festivals in Chicago in such a vibrant neighborhood, naturally draws people from all over the city, state, country and beyond,” said Chad Honeycutt, director of the Northalsted Business Alliance. “It’s truly a welcoming and wonderful weekend to experience a fantastic array of music and enjoy the area and all of our offerings.”

So my lil sis stays busy in these Chicago streets, especially during Market Days. Sister Dida took some time out to choo it up during one of her busiest moments of the year. And it, like she, means so much to me. #Gratitude #GraceUnderPressure #EnVacancesEnsemble #MarketDays2017 #BFFs #ThatsMyBitch #Since2004 #RitzCarltonSisters #WhatYouKnowBoutThat?

I want to thank the 500 or so of you who came out to see my hometown performance at #MarketDays last Saturday. It was so heartwarming to watch the area fill with people in the half hour before I took the stage. I've already been humbled so many times in the 4 years since I released my first song – I grow more grateful for your continued support with each passing day. Thank you! :) If you're around the #Ptown area, come to my show at the Provincetown Art House Theatre. I play 7 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday now through Sept 7.
