Martha Stewart-Inspired Character Will Join "Orange Is The New Black" Season 3

Martha Stewart's jail stint never gets old.

Just ask Stewart, herself, who mocked her time spent in the pokey following her insider-trading scandal during her recent owning of The Roast of Justin Bieber ("I’ve been in lockup and you wouldn’t last a week, so pay attention").

During the Time 100 Gala earlier this week, Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan told Time that when the show returns in June, Litchfield will welcome a new inmate: A Stewart-inspired character.

Fans of the original book for which the series is based off of will recall that Piper Kerman wrote about how Stewart was nearly sent to Danbury (aka the prison that Litchfield is based off of.)

The only other tidbit offered: She'll be Southern.

Interestingly, Stewart herself was on hand at the gala. Though she admitted she'd never watched Orange Is the New Black, she apparently appeared intrigued, saying “I’ll look at it."

Orange Is the New Black returns to Netflix on June 12.
