YOUR FAVORITE LOGO TV SHOWS ARE ON PARAMOUNT+

"Jessica Jones" Arrives On Netflix, "Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow," "Lip Sync Battle": TV THIS WEEK

Plus: Logo honors Transgender Awareness Week and the Simpsons head to Broadway

It's Monday—time to look at what's new and interesting on TV in the week ahead.

Logo and MTV are marking Transgender Awareness Week with True Life: I'm Genderqueer, profiling two young people who challenge the expectations of gender.

Jacob and Brennan both have a circle of supportive friends but have trouble getting their parents to understand who they are. True Life: I'm Genderqueer airs Tuesday at 11pm on MTV and Wednesday at 10am on Logo.

Logo will also air The T Word, the Emmy nominated documentary hosted and produced by Laverne Cox, at 8am Wednesday. At 11am, it's the television debut of Beautiful As I Want To Be, Logo's acclaimed digital series spotlighting young trans people and their mentors.

There's a new diva in town when Vivica A. Fox guest stars on Empire as Cookie's sister, Candy, Wednesday night at 9pm on Fox.

“Cookie’s other family members are troublesome to say the least," executive producer Ilene Chaiken teased earlier this year.

Thursday at 10pm on Spike, it's the return of Lip Sync Battle with a one-hour holiday special: The Night Before co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie and Seth Rogen face-off.

It's got Seth playing an Elf on the Shelf and Mackie performing Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl," along with Gordon-Levitt's Lip Sync Battle debut. He dominated the Tonight Show segments that gave birth to the show, so it's only fitting.

Marvel's Jessica Jones arrives on Netflix on Friday. Based on Brian Michael Bendis' cult-fave comic Alias, the series sees Krysten Ritter as Jones, a woman with super powers and serious issues.

Giving up on being a superhero, Jones hopes the smaller stakes of running a detective agency won't also end in disaster. There's plenty of reason to fanboy over this one, including Doctor Who's David Tennant as the villainous Killgrave, Mike Colter as love interest Luke Cage and Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica's lawyer and the first lesbian in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It's late November—that means Lifetime television movies are featuring less women in jeopardy and more stories about the creation of holiday memories.

Saturday the network is debuting a rare Thanksgiving special with Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow. Based on Henson screenplay from 1968 that was never produced, the special focuses on a small town turned upside down by the arrival of a group of aliens. Mary Steenburgen, Jay Harrington and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges co-star.

Let's hope Turkey Hollow turns out to be a companion piece to Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

Award show fans get a winter treat when ABC airs The 2015 American Music Awards Friday at 8pm. Hosted by Jennifer Lopez, this year's ceremony promises performances by Sam Smith, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, among others. But the number everyone will probably be discussing Monday will probably be Pentatonix's version of John Williams' Star Wars score with a full symphony orchestra.

Broadway star Laney Fontaine returns to The Simpsons this Sunday at 8pm. When Homer loses $5,000 at poker, he has to loan Lisa to Fontaine for a month. As she transforms the middle Simpsons child into a show-biz kid, Homer and Marge worry they've made a mistake and head to the Big Apple to get Lisa back,

With a title like "Lisa with an 'S'" we assume this episode will have plenty to keep musical-theater queens happy.

That's the week's TV highlights. What are you going to be watching?
