Mary Berry And The “British Bakeoff” Ladies Return For BBC Christmas Special

It's a Christmas miracle!

Our hearts broke when Mary Berry, Mel Giedrouc and Sue Perkins quit the The Great British Bake Off, but the trio are reuniting for a one-off Christmas special airing Christmas eve on BBC 1.

Mary, Mel & Sue’s Big Christmas Thank You sees them heading to South Wales to prepare a surprise holiday celebration for some hard-working volunteers at a local community center.

Mary whips a special Christmas feast while Mel and Sue help with decorations and general yuletide cheer. The volunteers are ecstatic—but also a little nervous. “You’re not going to judge anyone’s cooking, are you?’ asks one.

Last year, fans were stunned when they learned the three stars were leaving the beloved show, which was transferring from BBC One to Channel 4. Only Paul Hollywood stayed on, joined by fellow judge Prue Leith and co-hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

Since leaving Bake Off, Mary Berry has launched her own series, Mary Berry Everyday and Country House Secrets, while Mel and Sue will cohost a revival of the UK game show The Generation Game.
