Bloomberg hearts Hil. Who wouldn't, right?

Mayor Bloomberg apparently called Hillary Clinton and asked her to succeed him as mayor of NYC in 2013. Spoiler alert: she turned him down.

The mayor "holds Mrs. Clinton in extremely high regard" and likes that she worked with Obama, her arch nemesis from before, after losing to him in '08. According to the NY Times, Bloomberg's call to Clinton was a few months ago. This made it a bit awkward for the candidate presumed to succeed him, Christine Quinn. She was asked about the Bloomberg-Clinton call while getting on an elevator, and said she had no idea of anything going on. Note to self: jump on nearest elevator possible when faced with awkward question.

Clinton is finishing up her Secretary of State role and everyone is trying to guess what she'll do next. Will she run for pres in 2016? Will she sell a tell-all memoir? Will she finally rest?

Bloomberg has the answer -- come to NYC, and simply run shit. How could you pass on a job like that?

It's not like New York City is hard to control.
