Meet A Crystal Meth Addict Who's 12 Days Sober And Doing The AIDS/LifeCycle Ride

"I'm doing this to help someone out—to help myself out."

In his latest video, Davey Wavey shares the emotional story of Luke, a young man determined to complete the AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride, despite only being a few days clean after a crystal meth binge.

The personal trainer from Texas struggled with sobriety for years, but says that it was finding out he was HIV-positive that really inspired him to turn his life around.

But then, after two years of sobriety, and just days before the ride was set to begin, Luke relapsed.

Fortunately, he was determined to get back up and take the AIDS LifeCycle journey, which consists of riding a bike 545 miles to raise money for San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. LGBT Center.

"Being on the ride this week is probably the most challenging week of my life," Luke said. "And I couldn't imagine being anywhere else."
