Meet Disney's Newest Princess—She's A Badass "Who Knows What She Wants"

"She’s brave, she is so empowered... I think that’s something that I can relate to."

Audiences went wild for Frozen's arctic royal Elsa—will they lose it for a tropical princess from 2,000 years ago?

Disney has just released the first images from Moana, the studio's next animated blockbuster.

Fourteen year old Auli'i Cravalho of Oahu will voice the titular maiden, who goes on a quest in ancient Hawaii.

"Moana is such an amazing character," says Cravalho. "She’s brave, she is so empowered—she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to get it. I think that’s something that I can relate to as well. I just love watching how she goes along in this wonderful movie and grows as a person and helps her culture along the way."

Hitting theaters on November 26, 2016, Moana also stars Dwayne Johnson as a demigod whom she encounters during her travel.

Cravalho says she's "very excited" about her muscular co-star. "I’ve never heard him sing before so it’s going to be really interesting!"

Yes, interesting.

Are you down for Moana?
