Meet The Artist Who Inspired The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Paper Doll Challenge

On tonight’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the mini-challenge involved re-creating infamous red-carpet outfits with colored paper.

As Ru revealed, the challenge was inspired by the work of paperdragrace, who whips up homemade versions of Drag Race outfits  using nothing more than sheets of paper, some tape, and a little prayer.  (Longtime fans will remember we first told you about this incredible Instagrammer last May!)

How long does it take to make Bianca’s feline gown or Bendelacreme’s polkadot dream? “It varies from dress to dress, but it usually takes about 3-4 hours from taping on the wig to taking the picture,” he says.
