Meet The Bisexual Man With Two Penises, "Eastenders" Same-Sex Kiss Upsets Viewers: Today In Gay

Gary_Lucy_Sam_Strike_EastEnders_Gay_Kiss_Danny_Jonny_ComplaintsEastenders, the BBC's longrunning working-class soap opera, aired a gay kiss this week—causing some viewers to spit out their tea in rage.

In the December 30 episode, Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy) and Johnny Carter (Sam Strike) shared a smooch as part of a new storyline that will see Carter struggling to tell his father  about his sexuality.

It's not Eastenders' first same-sex smooch by far—or even the first for Pennant—but haters got their knickers in a bunch nonetheless:"Never ever in my life watching Eastenders again its turned into some gay porno shit," one viewer tweeted. Another called the show "a disgrace."

The BBC told Gay Star News that at least two formal complaints were filed about the kiss, which was viewed by an estimated 7.4 million people.

"EastEnders aims to reflect real life, and this means including and telling stories about characters from many different backgrounds, faiths, religions and sexualities," explained a network spokesperson. "We approach our portrayal of homosexual relationships in exactly the same way as we do heterosexual relationships; ensuring depictions of affection or sexuality between couples are suitable for pre-watershed viewing."

Good on you, Auntie Beeb!

Questions on the AMA ranged from the practical to the ridiculous, but among the more noteworthy tidbits we uncovered is that DoubleDickDude is bisexual.

He says that some women have run off or called him names, but that "dudes... always want it, even if they're freaked out a little."

DDD is currently in a polyamorous relationship with a man and a woman and boasts that the three of them have a most satisfying sexual relationship: "My boyfriend and girlfriend can take both in them... In the past, with partners who had smaller or tighter holes, I had to start off using one—but by the time I was done I had used both."

Perhaps most surprising of all is how comfortable DDD is with his situation:  "I was born with it for a reason," he opined. "I really am one in millions... Besides the ego boost, it really makes a person feel special knowing there is likely no one else like you alive right now."

DDD also confessed "I really wanna give James Franco a facial." Oh, you so know Franco'd be into it.

Heterosexual couples can change their names to their spouse's simply by presenting a valid marriage certificate to the DMV, but Melot claims he was flagged because his spouse, Derek Melot, clearly had a male first name. “If I had been a woman going to change my last name, it wouldn’t have been an issue," Jesse tells MLive. "They’re profiling at the counter. My certificate doesn’t say ‘same-sex.’ It just says marriage. But they see the names, and they’re discriminating against me.”

Fred Woodhams, communications manager for the Michigan Secretary of State's Office, insists clerks are not directed to be “on the lookout” for same-sex couples, but admits they can refuse a name change based on “anything that would lead [them] to believe it is a same-sex marriage.”

Jesse is understandably angry: “I wasn’t asking them to recognize my marriage—I was asking them to recognize a legally-binding document, period. I’m not trying to circumvent the system to get the state to recognize my marriage. All I’m looking for is my … license.”

We know looking for justice at the DMV is a fool's errand, but this  is really beyond the pale.
