This Six-Day Music Festival at Sea Might Be the Gayest Cruise Ever

The next Melissa Etheridge Cruise sets sail in October 2020.

The lineup for the next Melissa Etheridge cruise is here, and it is smashingly queer.

Sister duo Tegan and Sara Quin, comedian Tig Notaro, and British singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan, among others, are all officially confirmed to join Etheridge onstage on her bespoke cruise in 2020.

The nearly week-long party at sea is slated to set sail October 20-26, 2020, hitting the ocean from Miami and making stops in Key West, Florida; Ocho Rios; Jamaica and Great Stirrup Cay; and the Bahamas. It promises “incredible music, endless fun in the sun, and lifelong friendships with fellow Melissa Etheridge fans.”

Next year’s party at sea marks the fourth annual installment of Etheridge’s queer-inclusive cruises, produced by Sixthman, the same event company that organized Kesha’s Weird & Wonderful Rainbow Cruise earlier this year.

It’s hardly Etheridge’s first time taking her show on the road. This June, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and openly gay music industry pioneer helped close out WorldPride 2019 in New York City, taking the stage in Times Square for the closing ceremony alongside acts like Jake Shears, MNEK, and host Margaret Cho.

Hoping to score a spot on next year’s Melissa Etheridge Cruise? Tickets are pricey (solo travelers can expect to pay upwards of $2,300 USD for a room to themselves, though there are payment plans and an early bird discount available), but interested parties can sign up for the pre-sale on Sixthman’s website.

In the words of Melissa herself, it’s going to be a rocking cruise.
