Sequel? Ummm, I think I have plans that day...
The success of Bridesmaids has of course led to the most hallowed of Hollywood talks — when are we getting a sequel! Well, not super soon and there is a minor problem; Kristen Wiig doesn’t want to be in a sequel. No problem then said Hollywood, we shall get Melissa McCarthy to star. Well, maybe you should have checked with her first.
Melissa made an appearance at the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala over the weekend and didn’t seem to keen on a sequel, especially without Kristen. “God, I wouldn’t want to,” said McCarthy. “I would never want to. I think it’s a terrible idea.”
So fantastic news Rose Byrne, you are now in line to be the next cast member to deal with these rumors and repeat what we all agree on — a sequel without Kristen is a horrible idea.
