Meme: George Clooney Forces Daily Mail To Apologize, Dr. Keith Ablow Fears Man-Dog Marriage, and Spornosexuals Are Not a Thing

Anderson Cooper tests living with schizophrenia, Demi Lovato speaks for the HRC, Naked & Afraid contestants lobby for bigger pixelations

George ClooneyGeorge Clooney normally ignores tabloids that make up stories about him, but he's had enough when the Daily Mail posted a story that his fiance's mother was against his marriage because she was a member of the Druze faith, which frowns on marrying outsiders, and can lead to violence against the bride who does. It's not the ridiculous lie that angered Clooney, but the invocation of religious violence. “The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous. We have family members all over the world, and the idea that someone would inflame any part of that world for the sole reason of selling papers should be criminal.” Then something remarkable happened - the Daily Mail actually pulled the story and apologized, saying it wasn't fabricated but written by a trusted freelancer, who they are investigating.

In marriage equality news, a state judge has ruled Colorado's ban on marriage equality violates both the state and federal constitutions, and stayed his ruling pending appeal. "If civil unions were truly the same as marriages, they would be called marriages and not civil unions. If they were the same, there would be Naked and Afraidno need for both of them." Plus, Utah has announced plans to skip an en banc hearing at the 10th Circuit and appeal directly to the Supreme Court, putting them on track to be the first case at SCOTUS post-Windsor. And Indiana Governor Mike Pence ordered state agencies to ignore the weddings that took place legally in the state before the marriage equality ruling was stayed, which sets up a new legal battle.

The most common request from contestants on Naked & Afraid isn't for shoes or food, but that the folks that blur out the peen use bigger blur areas to make them seem more impressive.

I can't help but notice this list of phrases that guys should never say to girls during sex contains a lot of phrases that are really, really common in gay porn. Or back when I had a sex life. Does that make gay guys more liberated, or show an inherent devaluing of our roles in the sex act? Because some of these are kind of hot.

If you're incredibly rich, jail isn't for you, just buy your way out of charges like Justin Bieber, who avoided felony charges for egging his neighbor's door by pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge and paying the $80,000 in damages to the door, which is way over the threshold for a felony. He'll just get some probation and five days of community service.

In an infuriating case, police in Virginia are getting a warrant to take a 17-year-old boy to the hospital to get an injection to make him erect, so that they can take pictures of his hardon to compare to images on his phone in a sexting case. It all started when a 15-year-old girl sent him a dirty picture, and he responded with a video. The girl's mother complained, so he was arrested and charged with both possession and distribution of child pornography. If he's convicted, he faces jail time and being a registered sex offender for life. And to prove it, the cops want to create more of what they define as child pornography by forcing an erection on him medically. There are so many things wrong with this. Sexting should not be a felony if both are underage (and many states, including mine, have changed the law to recognize this). Why wasn't the girl arrested on the same charges? There seems to be no disputeDr. Keith Ablow that she initiated the exchange. Why are they going to ruin a young man's life over a sext? If they'd boned would it have been a crime (actually, it would have been a misdemeanor, much less serious), seeing each other naked in person?

Remember this funny video about man-dog marriage? Well, Fox news seriously thinks this is a problem. The always insane Dr. Keith Ablow was angry that California changed their marriage laws to refer only to "spouses" rather than husband and wife. "Here’s what we can expect. There’s no way that the state of California can deny a marriage license to four spouses now, eight spouses, or, I would say, three human spouses and the canine they absolutely love. Because if love is the foundation of marriage, they can love their dog, too."

There's been a sharp increase in maculopathy, a sudden loss of vision, and they think it's linked to the use of poppers. Poppers are a legal grey area to some, but as various nitrate combinations have been outlawed over the years, like the amazing Amyl nitrate giving way to Isobutyl nitrate before the EU banned that in 2007, and now is made mostly of isopropyl nitrate, which may be triggering the visual loss, which doesn't restore itself after you discontinue using them.

George Michael has been accused of using a tax avoidance scheme to shelter £6.2 million from the crown.  He's not the only one, as Sir Michael Caine, members of the Arctic Monkeys, and others are also facing the same accusations.Christopher Rice Eric Shaw Quinn

The father of Nash Grier, the Vine superstar who was caught yelling gay slurs and claiming HIV is a gay disease (not his first anti-gay incident)  says his son isn't a homophobe and will find ways to atone for what he's done. “Nash is not a hatemonger or a homophobe. He’s a 16-year-old kid living in LA trying to figure out this new world he’s in." The reason this kid matters, beyond his 8.7 million followers, if his reach beyond that. MTV paid him to promote Teen Wolf earlier this year, and through Awsomeness.TV, he has a movie deal. Of course, I think FunnyOrDie's take on it is more accurate than his father's.

Bent-Con, the leading convention of queer creators taking place November 7-9 at the Burbank Marriott and Convention Center has announced that The Dinner Party Show with author Christopher Rice and Eric Shaw Quinn will broadcast live from the con, with special guest Anne Rice, Queen of the Vampires herself. Passes for Bent-Con are available now.

Anderson Cooper attempted an empathy test recently for those suffering from schizophrenia. The debilitating condition causes a constant stream of feedback in your mind, voices whispering distractions, commenting on what you're doing, devaluing you. Cooper wore earphones with the feedback and attempted simple tasks, from puzzles to just walking down the street, and discovered that he was unable to function. I never really thought about the way that would work on your mind. I don't like distractions - I can't even play music while I write. I can't imagine what this would feel like.

Demi Lovato has been showing herself to be an active, vocal ally for the LGBT community of late, and her latest effort is a video for the Human Rights Campaign in support of marriage equality.

I've made a strong effort to avoid talking about this new term, Spornosexual. It's incredibly stupid, more so than the old Metrosexual, which had a basis in the wider emergence of gay culture on the world. Spornosexual is really just about bros and vanity. It's not special. There are 10 guys at my gym in a small town on a Thursday afternoon that are hotter than these guys, who lift more and have more chiseled features. They dress better than these guys that The Telegraph wants us to believe are obsessed with looking like the intersection of a porn star and a sports star yet think high fashion is a t-shirt and a beenie. Hell, I spend two hours/day in the gym like he brags, and would decline other plans to do so. I do it all the time, and it's not a competitive lifestyle, it's just enjoying the gym. One bright spot to the video is the guy's NSFW naked bum, which is lovely, but not spectacular. I reject this entire idea of a new class of guys, because these are guys I see every day and have for ages.
