With the legendary Met Costume Institute Gala just four days away, it’s only natural that everyone’s wondering who the stars will be wearing–especially since this year’s exhibit, “Punk: Chaos to Culture,” promises to showcase some seriously radical garb.
Details are sparse, but based on which designer is attending with which celeb, we can take a guess as to the edgy gowns our favorite starlets will be wearing up the famous staircase.
Let’s take a look, shall we:
Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors
J.Lo loves showing off her assets, so this leather-accented dress, complete with a dramatic train, is perfect for playing up her gams.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino
Gwynnie loves her high necklines–and this glittery goth gown would be worthy of an exhibit titled “Punk: Chaos to Culture” if paired with teased blonde hair and a dark smoky eye.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Though newer to red-carpet statements, the Silver-Linings Playbook star could say a lot even with a simple dress. This leather number, paired with a bold necklace or studded shoes, could easily read punk chic.
Jessica Alba in Tory Burch
This wine-red outfit would look drop-dead gorgeous against Alba’s tan complexion and honey locks. A voluminous, messy updo and thick eyeliner would keep it from looking too dressy.
Julianne Moore in Balenciaga
Julianne Moore is into simplicity and monochrome, so this black gown/massive-yet-subtle necklace combo would be just right.
