The comfortably nude Fassbender with Carey Mulligan in 'Shame'
Michael Fassbender’s performance in the upcoming Shame is being touted by critics as one of the year’s best yet, despite all the accolades and praise, all anyone can seem to talk about is all the nudity and the sex. In fact, so much nudity and sex it earned the film a NC-17 rating. So how was all that sex for Mr. Fassbender?
Well, it seems like it is not as much fun as it would appear.
“It is kind of a stressful thing, to he honest,” Fassbender explains. “Thankfully, I’ve had fantastic partners to be working with, all the female leads or even the women with smaller parts have been great. But the most important thing is to say, ‘Let’s talk about this.’ [Singing.] Let’s talk about sex, baby … [Laughs.] But no, you have to say, ‘What lines do you have that you don’t want me to cross? Do you mind if I touch your breasts? Do you not want me to do that? Can I kiss your breasts? Just so you know, I’m not taking advantage here and taking the piss out of this scenario. You let me know what boundaries you’re comfortable working within.’”
Yeah, that sounds a lot more technical than one might think. But hey, the guy is clearly a pro at this point.
