Michael J. Willett Isn't For Sale, Chrissie Hynde On Rape Victims, Hulk Hogan Wants To Be Trump's VP: MEME

Kyle Krieger's shirtless beach workout, Ben Carson gains on Trump in Iowa, Alex Newell shines with The Knocks

Legendary Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde is under fire for saying that sometimes, the victim is responsible for her own rape, and she includes herself in that group. “You know if you don’t want to entice a rapist, don’t wear high heels so you can’t run from him. If I’m walking around in my underwear and I’m drunk. Who else’s fault can it be?” She says that she was raped when she was 21 and was invited to a party by a group of guys. “Technically speaking, however you want to look at it, this was all my doing and I take full responsibility.”

When Governor Scott Walker was asked if businesses should be allowed to discriminate against LGBT people, he dodged the question, saying it needed to be balanced. “That means making sure that we uphold the constitution, which says you have the freedom of religion. Not freedom from religion, the freedom of religion. And that means, I’ll just speak about it, our Justice Department, our I.R.S. and others out there, will uphold that.” He went on to say that the "most immediate thing" for the next president is protecting religious freedom. That's right, ISIS, the budget, Putin all take a back seat to whether I can buy a wedding cake anywhere that sells wedding cakes.

Because Republicans are terribly interested in other people's genitals, South Dakota state legislator Roger Hunt is proposing a bill that would require inspection of a high school athlete's original birth certificate, and a physical inspection of their genitals before they could compete. He's doing it because the South Dakota High School Activities Association decided to allow athletes to designate the gender they identify with. “This is South Dakota. We haven’t adopted the East Coast culture. We haven’t adopted the West Coast culture. We maintain our own culture." Good to know that the South Dakota culture includes mandatory inspection of a minor's genitals before each game. Pervert.

Michael J. Willett has concerns about the strides Hollywood has made in LGBT representation lately. "But I’m also seeing it as a trend right now. I guess that’s the best way to put it, it’s a trend. I would like it to balance out somehow, where it’s not like "OK, we have to include the gay character, that’s what’s in right now," but because it’s normal. Because there are gay people in the world. You know what I mean? So I’m hoping that, as much as we’re making big strides forward, there’s still work to be done. There are new challenges. I don’t like to classify anything as good or bad, really. I think it is problematic, and I think there are pitfalls because it is a thing that we don’t want. I don’t want to be a commodity. I just want to be a friend or an actor. I don't want to be a gay actor. But then I also see that it’s bringing exposure and awareness to something that historically has not been talked about or exposed, and so that is always good. It has its place. It has its pitfalls."

Chalk this up to something I never expected to say: Disney is reluctant to defend its intellectual property. Specifically it's resisting calls from the NYPD to complain about the Times Square characters that hassle tourists for money. The police can't figure out how to fix the problem (and don't even get them started on the Painted Ladies), so they were hoping the House of Mouse would help them threaten the characters since they own the likenesses.

Someone is actually gaining ground on Donald Trump in the polls in Iowa. Unfortunately that person is Dr. Ben Carson, who seems nearly as unstable. The latest poll shows him with 18% to Trump's 23%. Everyone else is distant, with Cruz and Walker closest at 8%.

Congratulations to Sam Stanley, who becomes the first openly gay rugby union player. He credits Keegan Hirst with giving him the courage to step out himself, and had some guidance from Ben Cohen. It doesn't sound like it's a new world to him, as he's been with his partner Lawrence for five years. “I fell in love with him pretty early, but we had issues ourselves because he had only just moved out from his own home after more than 20 years of marriage, and having his own children. He was just finding himself as well. I was really happy with him but if there was a bad day I wouldn’t be able to share it with anyone else.” I've been reading his Twitter feed all day and it's nothing but love from his fellow players.

Uganda is taking steps towards re-criminalizing being LGBT. The new NGO bill would give the existing board the power to refuse to register a Non-Govermental Organization that broke existing laws or if registering the group wasn't in state interests. Uganda is in the middle of an election, meaning the bill is likely pure politics.

Sir Ian McKellen

Sir Ian McKellen says that while he hasn't seen Stonewall, it would be a pity if they screwed it up. He recalls talking to Bent playwright Martin Sherman, who was at the riots. “The thing he remembers about that is that he couldn’t get his black friend a cab. It’s how the world has changed in every direction. So it’s a pity if they’ve got it wrong – I would like to know really what it was like – there were drag queens – it was a very disreputable place. They were probably all drunk or high. The Hollywood tendency is always to put a cute couple of faces in the centre of a story – it’s a pity.”

Kim Davis is headed to SCOTUS to get permission not to do her job of issuing marriage licenses. She is after “asylum for her conscience.” According to her reasoning, issuing even one same-sex marriage license would “forever echo in her conscience.” She's also facing official misconduct charges, which Rowan County has filed with the state, which could lead to her being removed from office.

The stars of Sister Wives are arguing that if gays can marry, if marriage is a fundamental right, why can't they have a polygamous marriage? And here's my non-party opinion: Why can't they? I mean, I don't want to go back to child brides and the whole thing, but I don't have a problem with a consenting poly relationship being recognized. I met a lovely married couple with four kids over the weekend and their girlfriend. They were happy and raising the girlfriend's kids together. Of course this means in my mind that women can have multiple husbands as well. The legal difficulties in making this work would be more complex than same-sex marriage, with property rights and children, but I don't have a problem with it.

Hulk Hogan says that he'd like to be Donald Trump's running mate. “I wannna be Trump’s running mate. Did you hear that? Vice President Hogan?” It seems only fitting that the man who just saw his career implode for making racist and homophobic comments during a sex tape should want to pair up with Donald Trump.

Home Advisor analyzed nine DC and Marvel comic book movies to see who did the most property damage, heroes or villains. And it's not always the bad guys raining destruction. Tony Stark, you've got some explaining to do. And Superman, I know why Batman is upset with you in your new movie. And maybe Captain America isn't such a boy scout.

The Knocks are back with "Collect My Love" and this time it features a familiar face - and voice, in Alex Newell from Glee. The song is sexy, sultry and has a bit of a vintage feel to it that makes it feel like it's been one of your favorites for ages the first time you hear it. The video takes place in the underground club scene for Downtown Manhattan, and features every gender on the spectrum, welcoming you in. This is set to be a massive hit.

There has been a lot of whining over the years about the Death Star being destroyed by a single bomb tossed in an unprotected exhaust port. Most have called it a design flaw to end all design flaws. Now the architect of the Death Star is speaking out to defend his work, and he's got a few valid points.

Nicco Maffey is what you get with the perfect marriage of strength, flexibility, and skill.

The more I watch Kyle Krieger, the more I think that I may have found a YouTube personality I can subscribe to. From his creative work finding a date for his dog to his honest talk about his addictions and overcoming them, he's got a breadth of content that I find very interesting. The fact that he's hot and frequently shirtless doesn't hurt things, and this week he's teamed up with Aussie phenomenon Nathan McCallum to talk about fitness outside the gym. I find a lot of this fascinating because the monotony of lifting metal plates over and over is starting to bore me, and I'd like to find functional exercises like these to work in for variety.

If you think you understand everything there is about why men might start escorting, you probably don't. Jake Jaxon of CockyBoys filmed with porn star and former Rentboy.com advertiser Rob Yaeger to talk about why he got into porn and escorting, and his reasons are not what you would expect. There's no desperation here, just a desire to do the right thing. Sex work, especially the type done through Rentboy.com, is not the problem, and we need to quit treating it as such.
