Michael Moore Shoots Down Candace Cameron-Bure On Gay Marriage

“If you are against gay marriage, don’t get gay married."

Documentarian Michael Moore was on The View yesterday to promote his latest film, Michael Moore in Trumpland—a movie about the presidential election, specifically about why you should be excited to vote for Hillary Clinton this November.

“She hasn’t devoted her life to harming the planet, hurting people, ruining the lives of employees,” Moore said on the program. “I’m just wondering why, especially people who say they are going to vote for Hillary, they don’t say it like they’re excited.”

Moore then brought up Clinton's Christianity and how he believes that she lives a Christian life even though she doesn't "play the Christian card" while on the campaign trail.

“The people who talk about it, ‘I’m a Christian,’ you know, oftentimes aren’t,” he added. “The idea of being a Christian is to just behave that way.”

The View's conservative host, Candace Cameron-Bure disagreed with Moore: “I wish she played up her Christian — I don’t want to say played the Christian card — but I wish she played up her faith,” Bure said. “But I understand why she doesn’t.”

“With some of her positions, I don’t believe she lives it,” Bure added. “For those people that really look to the Bible, it’s very difficult.”

“What I would say to the people who are against abortion is, if you are against it, don’t have one,” said Moore as the audience applauded. “If you are against gay marriage, don’t get gay married. You won’t like it. It’s not for you. But live and let live.”
