Michael Musto, Michael Urie And DJ Pierce Host “Cocktails And Classics” Launch Party In New York

The "Cocktails and Classics" panelists celebrated the great gay gem "Mommie Dearest" with a special screening and discussion.

Michael Musto celebrated the return Logo’s Cocktails and Classics with some real-life cocktails at a real-life party in New York.

The legendary nightlife scribe, who appears on Sunday’s premiere of Mommie Dearest, hosted a screening of the film with C&C host Michael Urie and fellow panelist DJ Pierce (a.k.a. Shangela) at the Eventi Hotel.

We’re gaga for La Musto’s wire-hanger necklace. (“We’re gonna see how many wire hangers you’ve got in your closet. Wire hangers, why? Why?”)

At a pre-screening panel, the trio pontificated on the film’s nuances and why it remains a gay gem more than 30 years after its release. (Spoiler: Dialogue like “I should’ve know you’d know where to find the boys and the booze.”)

Joining them were actress Rutanya Alda (who played Crawford’s devoted housekeeper, Carol Ann, and has just released The Mommie Dearest Diary), bloggers Kenneth Walsh and Matthew Rettenmund, drag artist Severelyy Mame (as Joan, natch), adult film actor Tayte Hanson, and more.

Below, more photos from the shindig.
