Michael Shannon has become famous for playing three roles: an imbalanced crazed young man in Revolutionary Road; an imbalanced crazed agent in Boardwalk Empire; and now an imbalanced man who is seeing signs of the approaching apocalypse in Take Shelter. He has finally broken the trend in this new video though as he plays something completely different — adorable.
Watch as Michael makes puppy noises, enjoys a marshmallow pop and allows himself to be tickled by Josh Horowitz in this truly shocking video. Do not get used to it however, as Michael will be returning to his normal crazed character self soon in films like Premium Rush, The Iceman and the new season of Boardwalk Empire.
Let us just hope that this brief glimpse of adorable Michael is enough to convince Oscar voters to nominate him this year for his amazing turn in Take Shelter.
