Say what you will, but the lady made quite an impression.

In the latest episode of Whatcha Packin’, Michelle Visage chats with this week’s chopped RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant, Alexis Michelle, about his season 9 journey—a long time coming after he auditioned for the show eight times.

“I think you can't fully prepare yourself for what the experience is going to be,” he says. “As in everything in life, one day at a time.”

So if he had to do it all over again, what would he do differently? “I didn't think far enough outside the box,” he says. "So if I could do anything differently, it would be some of my aesthetic choices—to take it to that superstar level."

For the record, Visage is here for the shapely queen's penchant for gowns. "Even though you're young, you still have an older spirit about you, because you were raised in a classy environment—which some of the kids might hold against you, but I actually appreciate it," she tells him. "And I think that humility is going to be your friend."
