What If Mike Pence Were A Judge On “RuPaul’s Drag Race”?

“SNL” imagines a more comfortable gig for the vice president.

Could Vice President Mike Pence join House of Representatives Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as a special guest judge on the upcoming season of All Stars?

That insane scenario was sort of proposed on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live while “Weekend Update” anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che joked about Stormy Daniels, the porn star claiming to have had an affair with Donald Trump.

“I just love watching Mike Pence during all of this,” said Jost of the political sex scandal. “He’s a buttoned-down, conservative Christian, and now he’s got to go ride-or-die with Caligula. At this point, Pence would probably be more comfortable as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

To hammer home the disturbing visual, Jost then showed a photo of Pence awkwardly Photoshopped alongside RuPaul, Peppermint, Trinity Taylor, and Sasha Velour. Oh, to be a fly on that runway!

Pence, of course, is no squirrel friend to the gays. As governor of Indiana, he signed a broad religious freedom bill that gave businesses the right to discriminate against LGBT people. He also suggested HIV/AIDS funding in the state would be better spent on conversion therapy for gay people.

While he probably won’t be rubbing elbows with Drag Race judge Michelle Visage anytime soon, Pence is set to annoy out figure skater Adam Rippon next month when he leads the 2018 U.S. Olympic delegation at the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 3 premieres Thursday, January 25 at 8/7 on VH1.
