Miley Cyrus Wants To "Stir Some Sh*t Up" With Senator Who Told Gays To Be Glad They're Not In Iran

For every right-minded person who calls out "religious freedom" laws as thinly veiled discrimination, there's a bonehead trying to defend them.

Case in point: Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who told the gay community to get some "perspective" over his state's proposed law.

"A lot of the concerns of discrimination haven't been borne to bear over the last 20 years. But I also think it’s important that we have a sense of perspective about our priorities,” Cotton said. “In Iran they hang you for the crime of being gay."

When Miley Cyrus heard that, it was a call to arms.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer tweeted out the Senator's office number and asked fans to give him a piece of their mind.

"Let's stir some shit up!" she messaged. "Senator Cotton (202) 224-2353 !!!! Happy Hippies call & express why freedom is important to us & our country!"

Calls to Sen. Cotton's office are going to voicemail, which is currently full and not accepting new messages.

Last week, Cyrus called Indiana Governor Mike Pence an "asshole" for signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. We hope she's got something in store for each and every legislator pushing this garbage.
