Right-wing gadfly Milo Yiannopoulos got married to a mystery man this weekend in Hawaii. On Saturday, the 32-year-old former Breitbart editor posted pictures of the ceremony at the the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the big island of Hawaii.
The name of Yiannopoulos’ groom—or even what he looks like—is unclear. In Instagram snapshots he’s seen from behind in a white tuxedo jacket that reads “Blind for love.”
A photo of a name card suggests his first name is “John.”
Yiannopoulos has said of his love life, “I like black guys for my love life, straight white males as employees, and girls as drinking buddies.” He once told The New York Times, he was “Trump-sexual”: “I have a very anti-white bedroom policy, but Trump is kind of like the exception to that rule.”
In addition to spewing bigoted rhetoric, Yiannopoulos is known for big publicity stunts, so whether these nuptials are the real deal or just a media play is unclear. The former alt-right poster boy’s has faded since February, when video surfaced of him calling relationships between 13-year-old boys and adult men “perfectly consensual.”
In the wake of those statements, Simon & Schuster backed out of releasing his book Dangerous, which Yiannopoulos self-published.
Instagrams from the ceremony were liked more than 20,000 times each, with comments mostly congratulating the couple. One commenter dragged Yiannopoulos, though: “Isn’t it great how conservatives fought for years to make it possible for people of the same sex to get married? Oh wait… #fuckinghypocrite”
