More good news in the fight for marriage equality – Minnesota senator Scott Dibble plans to introduce a bill to legalize gay marriage later this week. Now if only he could introduce some legislation that could get people to stop making fun of his last name.

Dibble believes the bill has a chance of passing since voters recently rejected a constitutional amendment that would have strengthened the current gay marriage ban. The bill that Dibble plans to introduce would remove that ban – or as he poetically put it, “It’s just simply an amendment that removes the restriction that disallows some couples from getting married.”

Until then, we’ll be wearing our gold and maroon in solidarity. Go Minnesota!
