Stonewall veteran Miss Major Griffin-Gracy has endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for president, calling him the best option for beating President Donald Trump.

The legendary transgender activist, who has been recovering from a stroke suffered in July of last year, took to Twitter on Monday, for the first time in more than three months, to deliver a special video message declaring her support for Sanders.

The Vermont senator is the current front-runner, but is facing increased pressure from the more moderate wing of the party, with both Pete Buttigieg and Senator Amy Klobuchar dropping out and backing Biden, who is fresh off a big win in South Carolina.

In her video announcing her support of Sanders, Griffin-Gracy called beating Trump "the most important thing in this election."

"So, please, take my advice and let's vote for Bernie Sanders," she added. "Go Bernie!"

A total of 14 states will vote on Super Tuesday, including the delegate-rich states of California and Texas.
